6. Oline has one guy with anything in the tank and that is Yanda who is real good. Age is taking them down though with Birk, McKinny, Williams all oldsters. Oher has never been much more than average and they DON’T want him at left tackle. Nice book though.
7. Suggs- Everyone knows he is done this year. you do not bounce back year 1 from Achilles. Sometimes never. He ain’t doing nothin this year.
8. Unibrow choked against New England, missed wide open guy in end zone. Lee Evans then dropped easy pass. Don’t think this will not carry over into this year along with the aforementioned factors. This team is on the slide and it will be harsh.

You speak about money. Well, what a player makes has little to do with whether a fan is going to pay to go to the game or not. If I’m spending my money to go to a game, I’d much rather see Ed Reed out on the field than Flacco or Rice. So in my opinion, as a paying fan, I’d want the Ravens to spend their money on Reed.

Thank God Ozzie is our GM and not you. To pay Reed more money and/or extend his contract at this point would be a poor business decision for multiple reasons as I and others have stated above. It’s not the fault of the Ravens’ front office that idiots like A.J. Smith have decided to pay lesser safeties like Eric Weddle $8 million a year. It’s moves like that which keep the Chargers out of the playoffs most years and keep the Ravens in the playoffs every year.

Sorry but, if you’ve ever been to a Ravens game… the best time to get your food or head to the bathroom is when the offense is on the field. You won’t have a lot of time because it’s usually a 3-and-out, but that’s still the best time to go if you don’t want to miss anything.

Ask Roethlisberger, one of the harder QBs(and players in general) to take down, if Reed can still tackle. Reed has wrapped him up a few times for sacks in recent years.

I’m shocked at the reaction from most Ravens fans myself. I figured they’d at least be smart enough to realize Reed shouldn’t be making less than much lesser safeties in the league. But no, as long as Flacco and Rice get their money… that’s all most of them care about. It will be funny to hear them change their tune in 2 more years when that happens and Reed and Ray Lewis are gone.

I think he meant that since your 1 SB, you guys had to rebuild your franchise (maybe 2002-2005-ish?) once, so you’re looking @ separate “runs.” The current run has only 1 player left from the previous one, a GM, and no coaches.

Contract griping? No. Constant injuries? Yes. Polamalu and Reed are more similar these days than you would like to think, except Reed plays the pass better (and always has).

This year won’t be any different. 10-11 wins, one playoff win, and done. Won’t make a difference if Reed is there or not.

You are way overpaid since you will get $7.2 million this year if you show up…and NOBODY ELSE will give you that BIG new contract that you are dreaming about. So just keep your yap shut and show up and play to get your $7.2 mil or RETIRE.

when ray lewis and ed reed go, that team loses its personality. the leadership intangible that will be missed when lewis retires is immeasurable. that team will instantly be mediocre.

their starting line has a combined age of, i think, 984 years old, their receiving corps is mediocre at best, and joe flacco is in the bottom third of qb’s in the league.

ray rice, suggs, and ngata are the stars on that team, but with the departure of lewis and reed, that team will drift into mediocrity faster than a billy cundiff hook.

Show them you’re in control of your own destiny. Stay home.

HOWEVER, Ed Reed’s actions and words this Summer have been confusing at best and conniving at worst. He’s trying to put pressure on the team through the media, because he knows that he’s a fan favorite and it could potentially force ownership’s hand if there is enough of an uproar from the Purple faithful. What Ed failed to recognize is that he doesn’t control the media, and they can report on his words/actions and draw conclusions from the context. If he doesn’t like those conclusions there is nothing he can do about it and shouldn’t complain.

Also he might want to learn the difference between ‘don’t’ and ‘doesn’t', but I’m just a stickler like that.

You say you’re a “business man?” Well, any intelligentand reasonable businessman would look at your age, your physical condition, your injury history, and your repeated expressions of a desire to retire from the game and quickly determine that paying you more money than the $7 million you are already set to make and extending your contract would be a bad idea. In fact, as a Ravens fan, I’m calling this a straight-up hustle attempt to convince the team to pay you more money, extend your contract, and if you get what you want, you will turn right back around and retire as soon as this season is over.

It’s too bad there are some in the media with no skin in the game other than wanting to get a good story who are willing to keep prodding and poking to see if they can get a story to develop. The consequences they want the player or team to endure for sake of generating a story don’t affect the media – they’re just reporters doing their job, right?

Quit whining about the League not caring for you. It is so tiresome and whiney. Quit complaining. If you think you have it so bad, man up and quit. Go get a real job like the rest of it. You will then have something to really whine about. Your mommy cares for you. Your girlfriend, your wife, your kids, your aunty, your friends, a few teachers. But please quit the “poor me” stuff. The NFL cares for you as much as more as any other employer cares for their people. You have greater injury risk, but you get paid stupid money and can retire in your 30′s if you are good enough. Most of us aren’t sure we can retire, EVER. The alternative is to quit and come out with the rest of us regular schmucks. Just stop whining. Please.
