Bryant, Witten largely quiet on possibility of adding T.O.

The Cowboys need a third receiver.  Receiver Terrell Owens needs a job.

That’s where the See Spot Run logic ends; owner Jerry Jones has made it clear that the Cowboys aren’t interested in a reunion with Owens.

Of course, that doesn’t stop folks from asking members of the team what they’d think of T.O., Part Deux.

I don’t really want to speak too much on that,” receiver Dez Bryant told Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News.

Tight end Jason Witten, who once was the target of a schoolgirl-style complaint from Owens that Witten and quarterback Tony Romo conspired to find ways to get the ball in the tight end’s hands more often, said he has no opinion on the possibility.

“It would be indifferent for me,” Witten said.  “I think it would be hard for me to make a comment on it really.  I’m just out of that situation and let those guys handle that.”

It’s a smart move by Witten, because Witten knows that Owens won’t be back in Dallas, even if every receiver on the roster tears both ACLs simultaneously.

Child Please! Ochocinco finds work while TO skips on child support and court dates. I’m picking up Ocho on my fantasy squad, going for 8+ TDs (heard it here first!).

Only the Cowboys would be desperate enough and stupid enough to do this again.

They are being very quiet so as not to plant the idea in anyone’s head.

TO is learning what karma is all about. He threw anyone and everyone under the bus and wanted all the attention with no recognition for his teammates. It’s no wonder that teams are not taking his calls. The headaches and negative publicity just aren’t worth it.

@mjkelly77 what do you expect when you have a dinosaur owner who runs the team as well? Loved it when Romo blew him off on the sideline in that game against the Lions.

Time for “T.O” to take a “Time Out” and realize his career is over.

In related news, no word from Tony Romo is his feelings on the Cowboys not drafting Josh Gordon in the 1st round of the supplemental draft.

I used to hate T.O. when he was one of the best receivers in the league. He was a complete a-hat, but some part of me really liked having a personality like his in the league. Everyone needs a heel to root against. He was a jerk, and I didn’t like him, but his talent was undeniable.

Now, his whole situation makes me sad. He clearly is having a very hard time adjusting to life after football. I really hope he can pull it together.

Its interesting to imagine the kind of career he could have had if he wasn’t the type of idiot he was, and the teams/QBs he could have played for–even if he did have an occasional rift w/ a teammate or two.

Only problem is that its tough to find a teammate or two who liked him.

Most organizations will take a slight (clearly even obvious) character issues for good talent…but very few for old & questionable talent coupled with extreme character & locker room issues.

It’d be the first time all off season these fools were quiet on any subject. Have fun in the cellar with “elite” quarterback Romo throwing your playoff hopes into defenders hands

I bet there were baffled that the question was even asked…like I am. Give it a rest!

I woke up this morning to some Insanity video on TV telling me to “Dig Deeper.” I thought it was T.O. at first. Anyways, it’s sad when even the Raiders won’t take a chance on you.

“Anyways, it’s sad when even the Raiders won’t take a chance on you.”

Neither the Raiders nor the Redskins want anything to do with this guy. That says something.

This entire T.O. saga makes me wonder two things (for which I’m sure there’ll never be an answer): Why does everybody – and his brother -rehash all of yester-years T. Owens headlines as tho this person is still exactly as he was back when? And, Owens is persona non grata simply because he has not changed one iota. How was that decided or determined so convincingly – and by whom? Realistically I can’t see Owens ever playing again. Granted. But I will never be able to see and accept THE reason why.

T.0 and A.I. —they are a lot alike. Not changing with the times when their talent didn’t surpass the headaches they caused. Really sad

I don’t think Owens ability (or lack of) to get a job is as much about his personality as it is about his age. I mean so many teams have shown they will take a chance on these types of playes (even convicted criminals).

They said exactly what they’re supposed to. As far as T. O., I wouldn’t want him on my team either. He’ll end up riding the back step of the garbage truck eventually

If you go by stats, he had a better year in 2010, than any of the cowboys receivers. When your tight end has the most catches, and yards, you have to wonder: “what kind of offense do the boys really have?”

His mouth did get him in trouble. I understand most of you want the guy to fail. But its not like the cowboys got better when they let T.O. go. They were actually worse. Look at the real picture,

Bad defense, bad quarterback, offensive line BLAH….. a receiver who hits his mom, one big name player on defense Demarcus Ware. An owner who coaches the team, and the coaches are puppets.

    Yep 8-8 this year
