as a lions fan im perfectly fine with what jennings said. tulloch should of agreed with him if anything, the lions earned this press they are getting this off season by being stupid. if anything it was a shot of truth mixed in with a small compliment by jennings. everything he said had merit, the lions are talented=check, they had on the field composure issues last season = check, they showed immaturity off the field = check. can they be professional for 19 weeks? who knows.

Jennings was on NFL total access. He answered questions about every team in the NFC North. Good players get to go on the show and share their opionions. Sorry Steven, that means you won’t ever be on the show. And your reaction to his comments is exactly what he was referring to, the Lions are a team full of mental midgets, from the coach on down. I will however exclude Mr. Megatron from the list as all he does is ball, you never hear these comments from him.

Jeez,Jennings was asked a question and answered it truthfully, the current reputation they now have earned with all the personal fouls and arrests of Lion players will not go away until they show on the field and off that they can play good football without all the PFP,and that goes for the coach who must show he can deliver a handshake rather than a fist to the opposing coaches in the NFL. If you want a nice reputation you must first earn it and the Lions certainly have not as yet.

That’s the major difference, I mean besides the Packers being really good and the Lions being the joke of the NFL since forever.

Tulloch needs to show up to camp (injured?…sure) before he spouts off at ALL-PRO, SB winner and all-around great guy, Greg Jennings or, anyone else for that matter. Jennings has more class in his sweaty socks (didn’t want to go THERE) than the entire Lions organization has. As for the lame excuses about the Lions being so injured last year vs the Pack…It’s the NFL. Players get hurt and then they GET OVER IT. Go Pack!

I’d prefer Tulloch showed the discipline to avoid the Twitter outburst. This is part of the maturity issue we need to see from the Lions. Talk to teammates, use it for motivation, but never let anyone see you sweat.

I do find it interesting that the only thing PFT chose to highlight was what Jennings said about the Lions.

Jennings also said the Packers have a lousy running game and that Rodgers can’t take the pounding of QB who has no one to carry the ball.

Likewise he had comments about the Bears and the Vikings.

For some odd reason the blistering criticism of his own team, and his criticism of the other NFC North teams, weren’t worth mentioning.

I guess you mean when the Lions played almost half the game without Suh and were so undermanned due to injuries on the DB position that a wide receiver played cornerback? Yeah, the packers are tough under those circumstances.

I really love how everyone refers to the suh stomp like he mangled that guy! I wish I could find the video of the plays preceding the “stomp” ! Numerous plays before that the center and gaurd bear hug suh, one from the front and one from the back… But that’s not holding… The play right before the”stomp” suh makes it through the line and is close to getting to Rogers when Kuhn dives and puts a helmet the suhs knee upending him! Then the play itself suh is held constantly to the ground until he loses his cool! The only reason I know of this is because the local news had the lions beat writer Tim twentyman on and was breaking down the plays leading up to why he lost his cool… They didn’t say it was justified and I don’t think what he did was right, but eventually if they game isn’t going to be called the same both ways then someone will retaliate

Because the Packers do not need to worry about the Lions as they will trounce them easily this year no matter what(twice again even without Rodgers). It is called more talent, composure, and better coaching.

And in other news it has been reported that lions fans blame the officiating for losing this tweeting episode. Doesn’t Detroit play indoors ? Why would Jennings be asked a question about an arena football league team anyway ?

I think the Lions should concentrate on their upcoming Arean football league games against the saints and rams in the upcoming weeks.

Lets see Jennings was on NFLN and was ASKED what does the Lions team need to do to take it to the next level. He was asked this about all the NFC north teams including his own. Boy the media does a great job of making stories out of nothing in the off season. Seems like one Lion player took the bait and over reacted. Of course they are known for that.

For those mentioning the Packs “troubles”, please keep in mind that they played one bad game and the Giants made them PAY. Their issues were on field…..now onto Detroit. How many of them are allowed to get arrested before people are allowed to talk about it? Can anybody tell me who the voice of reason in that organization is? Nobody is coming to mind.
