"no. charger fans know the type he is, chief fans know the type he is. unless someone promised* a big pay day, so if he signed a league min contract that had incentives attached, without that, he wont even try to go catch the ball. most frustrating WR in AFC West recent memory"

Meh. Id say the chargers messed him up then. Shying from contact was not an issue while chambers was a phin. In fact the guy had sticky fingers. Had he been a charger from the start, or on another team with a better qb than the phins he would have had a much better career, even w/o he still had a decent career

The five-foot, eleven-inch receiver currently weighs 230 pounds:

Crap...

My wife just read this over my shoulder and proclaimed that she no longer needed to stay on her diet.

However if Chris Chambers can block... The Raiders, Redskins, Broncos, Lions, Colts, Vikings, and Titans just off hand could all use a pulling fullback. If he can block, still catch, and move with efficiency I would sign him as camp fodder. What do you have to lose?

Good for Chris......This is the kind of story that we, as fans of the NFL, should want to hear from someone who played in the league for close to a decade.

There are a lot of business opportunities for former NFL players and training facilities should definitely be one of them.

Additionally, he started his career as a Dolphin. Considering who is on the Dolphins roster, you never know if can help even though he is a bit over his playing weight and has been out of the league for a year.

With that said, maybe Chambers can hire TO.
