Irsay finds another new use for Twitter

scaled

From providing updates about his NFL team to posting obscure song lyrics that may or may not be sending a message to sparring with members of the media to conducting off-beat hat-pick contests, Colts owner Jim Irsay uses Twitter in many ways.

On Monday, he found a new purpose for the 140-or-less-character service.  Irsay announced the birth of his grandson.

His daughter, Casey, is married to A.J. Foyt IV.  After a fairly short labor, Casey Foyt gave birth to a baby who won’t be named A.J. Foyt V.  Instead, the boy’s name is Lockey James.

Fortunately for Casey, her father at no pointed tweeted that the birth was “close.”  Otherwise, she would have been in labor for at least three weeks.

I think someday Lockey is going to wish he was named A.J. Foyt V.

He wasn’t name A.J. Foyt V because it would be stupid to be named the same thing as your 1 year old brother.

Only places in the world where kids get named “Lockey”: Indiana, Tennessee, and North Carolina.
