APIt’s hard to believe it was just two seasons ago when Jimmy Clausen and Brian St. Pierre were starting games at quarterback and John Fox was lame-ducking through an awful 2-14 season for the Carolina Panthers.
Now, they have a quarterback, and a coach who wants to be there, and they’re going places.
The Panthers posted a four-game improvement to 6-10 last year, and could be close to contending for a playoff spot now.
But there’s also a new energy in Charlotte that’s been missing for some time, thanks to quarterback Cam Newton.

My money is on Cam coming back down to earth this year. I see an injury plagued 2013, too.
