Good for forte. Looks like cutler was right after all. Remember all the bashing on him for saying he be shocked if forte wasn’t there for training camp.

I think the most important aspect of this deal is that the front office is doing the right thing. Forte has been solid so far, he played hurt, at at times was more than 50% of the Bears total offense. More important than the money was showing some respect for what Forte has done and what he will continue to do for this team. Hopefully Forte is satisfied and can just keep focused on football and doesn’t get all Lance Briggs about it.

Forte is more versatile (he is in on passing downs)and can do more with the ball than Adrian Peterson. It appears he signed for only Adrian Peterson money.

We all knew that these would be the figures of the deal as soon as shady McCoy got his deal a couple months ago!! Only question was if Forte would get 5 years or settle for 4.. I LOVE that The deal got done and I LOVE that Forte got his well deserved pay day, I just hate that they insisted on waiting it out till the last second!!

Congrats #22!! Let the highlight reel continue!!

No holdouts for training camp. Outstanding! Now as long as we stay healthy the division will come down to the Bears and the Pack. Very interested to see how the Bears measure up to the Pack this year. Should be a fun battle down to the end for these two teams.

To say forte was the offense must be coming from people who didn’t watch or aren’t bears fans. When Cutler went down forte did nothing in the Raiders game. Cutler was the facing defensive players in his far all game and still making plays. Defensive coaches had to plan aroun Cutler more then Forte. Forte is a very important part if the offense too.

@kansacity88… theyve been making a lot of “right” moves this year. even if forte didn’t sign longterm (which I’m glad he did), they still wouldve been ok with Michael Bush as the starter.

This is awesome. Shouldn’t have any hold outs for camp. Gonna be a fun year. Can’t wait to see how we match up against the Pack this year. The Lions…. Ha! Obviously the second game lady year showed how much we need to worry about the Lions. This year, the correct two teams out of the NFC North will make the playoffs.

Exactly, everything that can go wrong does when it comes to the Bears. GB and Detroit will be 1-2 in the division this season. Cutler seemed to cut down on the turnovers last year but with no offensive line I say 7-9 record wise. Hoping to be wrong though…

If it’s 4 years, 32 million, I’d say it’s agood deal for both sides (assuming the bonuses aren’t ridiculous either way). Forte gets paid, Bears aren’t hamstrung too long if he gets hurt/breaks down

Not a Bears fan… But I have to say, Forte handled this whole contract thing better than most guys you hear about today. He went, out there, did his job, risked injury, which indeed happened. But at the end of the day still got this contract he was looking for. Congratulations, Forte!

As a huge Lions fan, I have to say that in my opinion, he IS the Bears offense and is well worth signing long term. Sucks for us opponents, because Forte is a beast.
