APBroncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil has commented publicly about his arrest for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, but he hasn’t commented on any of the specifics of the case.
Instead, Dumervil has said only that he’s confident that we’ll hear in time exactly what happened when he was accused of displaying a gun during a road rage argument with another motorist.
“The truth will come out,” Dumervil told the Denver Post via text message.
Dumervil’s side of the story will apparently be that he wasn’t holding a gun and that the gun recovered from the vehicle he was driving was not his. The Miami Beach police have not said whether fingerprints have been taken from the gun recovered from the vehicle Dumervil was driving.
Dumervil is charged with a Class 3 felony and could serve three to five years in prison if convicted.

Thats the new line for the NFL, “The truth will come out” followed by a plea agreement and slap on the wrist. Keep it original!!!
If I had $10 for every time an NFL player said “The truth will come out” I would be a very rich man
Sounds a little bit like AP. I hope he’s not lying. By far used to be one of my top three favorite players currently on the roster.
Strange how everyone who gets arrested is innocent. It’s amazing that motorist was able to guess that the people he was involved in a road rage incident had a gun.
Isn’t that what Adrian Peterson said? Makes you wonder what they learned st their rookie symposium.
Sooo…what your saying is some random guy just made this whole thing up? I am not sure I am buying what your trying to sell.
The truth will come out, aka my very expensive lawyer will find a technicality to get me almost completely off the hook. I will just have to pay the victim some large amount of money.
Taking a page out of Peterson’s book..unfortunatley his story sounded alot better…Dumervil’s story has no parts that make him look credible..
Dumberville should just hire AP’s lawyer to ensure that there will be a massive media blitz to insist his client was innocent and even drop the hint of civil lawsuits. No one will fall for it except the most gullible, of course.
