If Tannehill gets taken in the top 10 it proves a run on quarterbacks…and if Barkley comes out…who knows what happens? All the quarterbacks taken, except for Luck seem overrated; he seems to be the only one capable of taken the hits and making the mental adjustments necessary. Time will tell…

Matt Barkley is a moron. Who cares if he would have went 2nd, U decided to stay in school. It doesnt matter who goes 1st or 2nd. U think Calvin Johnson is worried that he went behind Je’marcus? No its about winning games and getting better at the Position. If RG3 makes the playoffs he is not gonna be concerned with coming out at the 2nd spot. We all know Luck is not making the Playoffs next Yr. It’s about Winning Football games. U play to Win the Game not get a higher draftpick than someone else.

IMO, he returned for a couple of reasons. First, he wants to win the Heisman Trophy. There are a number of people, Pete Carroll was one of them, that wanna turn Tailback U. into Quarterback U. That’s why they recruit a bunch of RBs and employ a RB-by-committee approach, never allowing one to do it all. Secondly, he wants to be the 1st-overall pick. He knew that wasn’t gonna happen this year and in saying that he could have gone 2nd, he took a thinly-veiled shot at RG III. From my observations, he’d better work on a quicker delivery, speed & mobility, because he won’t have much time at the next level. Right now, he benefits from having five-star offensive linemen and wide receivers.

RGIII has a pro style, pocket passing game. He’s also got crazy athleticism and insane speed. Take a QB on Madden and max out all his ratings, then you have RGIII.

So in short you are saying Barkley is not a franchise QB. Because franchise QBs like Manning, Brady, Brees and Rogers it is more the QB’s skills then their weapons.

While it is definitely seems weird and inconsequential, the fact is it really does matter. It’s a vision thing. The Offensive line takes up most of the QB’s field of vision, but for every inch taller the quarterback is, he’s adding about ten more degrees to his view of the field.

For the record, I pulled the numbers out of my butt, but as an undersized high school quarterback, who had to deal with a tiny field of vision every Friday fr four years, I can assure you the basic concept is correct.

He’s not wrong. RGIII didn’t come into the draft picture until after it was known that Barkley was staying at USC. To be totally honest if Brandon Weeden wasn’t 102 years old (at least the media treats him like he is) he’d probably get drafted in front of RGIII as well. The 2012 draft class as far as QB’s go wasn’t that deep.

Not at QB, but as a whole…I am a OU fan and enjoyed watching Sam Bradford play. Sam is having a tough time in St louis because of the Lack of talented people around him(ie, OL…..) and I think he is a LOT better than ole M Barkley…..I hope Ms Barkley get’s his wish next year and goes 1st in the draft. He is slower than molasses in the winter time and It will be interesting to see how comfortable he’s going to be in the pocket when it comes crashing down around him…. He will experience speed from the DE’s that he did not see from his experience in the PAC……..IR in week 2………

If Barkley really believes he would have been #2 then why did he go back to school. I have never understood people that say “get your education”. The reason 99% of people go to college is so they can earn more money in a professional field.

If you are going to earn millions of dollars prior to graduating then do it! Especially in a profession where you are treated like a piece of meat. Get hurt and see where your football education gets you. You can always go back to school later on and pay for it with the millions you have made from the NFL.

I actually believe him. And just think, if he had decided to go to the NFL, the Redskins probably wouldn’t traded all those first rounders for RG3. At worst for Washington, they would have settled for Barkley, which isn’t a bad bargain.

How did the Combine seperate Griffin? He can run fast in a straight line? Great. He was mediocre on the Wonderlic and skipped the agility drills (because he isn’t agile) which are the two tests that really mean something at the position.

Logan Thomas, Tyler Wilson, and Landry Jones would never be drafted in front of Barkley unless he totally bombs.

Logan Thomas will be the number one quarterback taken next April. The worst team in the league will be looking at Cam Newton as its model and not Jimmy Clausen.
