Max Starks tweets that he’s returning to Steelers

The Steelers apparently have some depth on the offensive line now.

Veteran tackle Max Starks just tweeted out a picture of a one-year contract with the Steelers, along with the message “It’s real and sealed! I’ll be seeing you in Latrobe!”

Bringing back the 30-year-old Starks lends some stability to what could have been a shaky position for the Steelers. If Starks is ready to start, it will keep them from having to use second-round pick Mike Adams at left tackle before he’s ready, or switching Marcus Gilbert from right tackle.

Starks tore an ACL in the playoff loss to Denver last year, and the team wasn’t sure he’d be ready for camp, but apparently, they decided to move now.

Thats good. Nice depth signing especially if Adams cant cut it right away. Now please cut Jonathan Scott immediately and maybe put that 2.7 mil he was gonna steal from the Steelers this year and apply it to getting Wallace signed.

This is a good move for the Steelers.

Oh, so good to see he has recovered from his injury, and done ahead of schedule. This means he has been working hard. He really solidified the line after he recovered from being fat last year. No need to rush Adams now either. A veteran trusted explicitly by his qb, excellent move by the Steelers.

Good. He stinks. By the time November comes, Suggs will be back or Upshaw will eat this chump for lunch. Mr. All-World because he plays for the Steelers (Pouncey) will be hurt then and Ben will have every injury in the book.

Great move by the Steelers. Max will fortify that OL-unit. A one time weakness is fast becoming a strength .

Like getting Max back. Experienced vet to help the young studs and provide depth. The OL should be in better shape than it has been in in years.

It is great to see that Max is excited about being a STEELER. With his size alone he could be an asset to many other teams, but he clearly wants to be in the burgh. His a good man, a model of good character that every NFLer should strive for, I’m glad he’s on our side. Now if he could just get a little mean and plant some ravens….
