Curious to see how he plays. Not too many short QB’s anymore other than Brees and Vick. That’s a pretty high bar no pun intended.

Dude your way wrong Griffin is 6' 2". You mention Drew Brees and Mike Vick but Guess who else is 6' 2" or under?

Arron Rodgers
Matt Stafford
Tony Romo
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Andy Dalton

So that would make 7 good to elite starting QBs that are "short". Also they make up 4 of the top 5 highest passer raings for the 2011/2012 season.

Umm folks Bruce Allen is the Redskins GM. The wallet being opened would have to his suggestion to Dan Snyder. Please get it out of your heads that Snyder throws money around still. This is Bruce Allen's 3rd year as GM. With all that said, RG3 is signed, sealed, & delivered. This is an exciting time to be a Redskins fan. HTTR!

_____

Where does this idea keep coming from? Griffin is no giant, but he is bigger than Vick, much bigger than Brees, the same size as Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo; and an inch shorter, but more thickly built than Matt Ryan and Eli Manning. Historically speaking, Griff is the same size as Brett Favre and Jim Kelly and is bigger than Steve Young and Joe Montana.

While size is certainly an advantage for a quarterback, the Third should be able to use his mobility to compensate for not being as big as guys like Newton, Peyton, and Rivers.

"The contract also includes, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, an option for a fifth year. ... For Griffin, that means the average of the 10 highest-paid quarterbacks in 2015."
______________________

I can't see that happening because, if he's still around, he'll probably be in the bottom 10 perfrormance rankings for quarterbacks.

If he lives up to the hype, then I will be glad to have Snyder open up the wallet like he used to do with others less worthy. I think three years is a good audition period to determine if that should be done anyhow.

I agree 100%...of course we will have the naysayers chirping in as usual!

It sucks to be luck, didn't know manning had to play out his contract before new deals. This just shows how loyal manning was to the colts and by releasing him, the colts showed that they don't want to pay big dollars for their best player. Manning could have easily jumped ships to a different team earlier in his career but didn't. 3 years is plenty for RG3 to show that he deserves to have to vault opened for him a hugh contract. Luck may have to wait 5 years for his if he's worthy
