Neat. I like watching him play.
They’re going to work the middle a lot better this year. Theyve more realistic deep threats on the outside to draw out coverage. Work the middle to suck em in then bam! Sometimes vice versa. This offense was already silly good last year and should improve significantly if they arent too blasted from injuries.
Which allows them to get away with compressing the d more often, which i think has been the plan all along. What were they second to last in yards and second in they league by February
I think they got it right this year. This is more like what it should look like on paper, what they always did well and frequently better than everyone.

Generally, only 2 can play at a time. If Gronk is on the bench for any lenght of time, the other team wins. I wonder if Gronks ankle is worse than thought to be. It would explain this TE collector set.

… and they have the boss man waiting in the wings, too. Let’s not forget that. I was backpacking in the Sierras a couple weeks ago, and up around 10k feet ran into a Giants fan that was truly stung by the Boss signing. It wasn’t as good as winning the SB, but it was still sweat music to my ears.

Pats are going to have a swarm of huge receivers running around mowing down cornerbacks.

I was hoping Houston would take a look at him. Their #1, Owen Daniels, is good but has had a history of past knee problems. Their number two is actually their starting FB, James Casey. Garret Graham, the next TE, has only 1 career reception. They could use another vet, and Shiancoe is the best available.

What a genious move by Belichek! He is bringing in shank in case anyone on the team gets a big head. All it takes is one post game shower with crank of shank to humble even Tom Brady.

The Patriots brought in Dallas Clark for a look and they’ve already signed and released Bo Scaife this off season.
What’s the deal with TE?
31 other teams envy their TE situation but Belichick acts as if it’s a huge hole in the Patriots offense.
Is Fells injured and not going to be ready for camp?

Thats not the place to be if you are a tight end, the #1 in the nfl and the other is probably top 5 reside there. He’d see the field constantly.. from the bench.

I always thought this guy was pretty good but had to deal with awful quarterbacking for most of his career. Always a solid short-yardage and red zone threat.

When Favre was on (in 2009), he had 11 TDs and 560 yards. Bet he could put up something similar with Brady if given the looks.

probably more of a sign that Hernandez is going to be lining up in the slot and in the backfield a ton. Also keep in mind Fells couldnt practice in any of the preseason activities so far.

The pats love to line up 3 TE sets, and often used a tackle as the 3rd TE.

Shiancoe could be a star if he’s featured as a #1 TE, I dont know why he’d want to play for the pats and be a #3, he’s a lot better than that.
