Getty ImagesThere’s something about the Eagles and the number eight.
They won eight games and lost eight games in 2011 and now they have nabbed the eighth spot in our Preseason Power Rankings. That final eight looks a lot better than the first two as it would mean a return to the playoffs after the failure of last season.
Now they just have to live up to the preseason prediction, something that has been a problem for Philly for the last few years. The talent is there, but so are serious questions about the quarterback and we cover it all in our preview of the Eagles as they head into training camp.
Did we fall for the strong finish last year and rank the Eagles too high? Or do you think they deserve to be flying even higher in the rankings? Let us know in the poll and/or the comments.

I’ll take the Eagles recent history, over the constant, year after year of “this is the Texans year”…. I would rather win 12, 11, 10 games every year than to be told how great my team is and then watch them go out and run up 8-8, 6-10, etc.
Shouldn’t a DYNASTY TEAM be at the top of the list?
Sounds about right to me. I think they stand a good chance of outperforming that ranking.
Is that the ranking or how many games Vick will play this year.
Or is it the # of Gino’s steaks andy eats prior to a game and again at half time?
