APThe hits just keep coming.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cowboys have signed first-round cornerback Morris Claiborne.
He’ll get a four-year deal worth $16.26 million, all guaranteed, with no offset language in his contract.
That boxes in Jacksonville (Justin Blackmon) and Minnesota (Matt Kalil) in a bit. The Jaguars want some protection in Blackmon’s deal because of his DUI arrest, while the Vikings have a philosophical belief against including offset language in contracts.
Claiborne’s the third first-rounder to sign today, and his deal leaves just seven unsigned.

Atta boy…get after it!
Championship!
Phone it in!
4 high-level players in the secondary should make this a tough team to throw against. With more and more teams running “pass first” offenses, it has become necessary to carry 3 if not 4 capable corners. In Claiborne, Carr, Jenkins, and Scandrick, the Cowboys have just that.
Go get ‘em Boys!!
Is that a cast on his hand?
Austinoxford,
Unfortunately, none of those 4 high quality players plays safety…which takes up 2 positions in the secondary’s 4 or 5 on any given play.
Dude I swear that’s Shannon Sharpe in that picture
Sources closes to the situation said “Claiborne stated that the contract was worth more then he could count”…he is expected to make close to 100 dollars
Don’t count on Jenkins being on the roster week 1. I see a trade happening before week 3 of preseason.
with Mo and Dez, the cowboys now have the lowest team IQ in the NFL.
