Wes Welker didn’t get a contract extension this offseason, but he did get some extensions.
According to Tom Curran of CSNNE.com, the 31-year-old Welker got a hair transplant earlier this month.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Robert Leonard of Leonard Hair Transplant Associates, for whom Welker will become a spokesman.
Curran said the release announcing the “news” said it “Welker was immediately able to resume his regular activities, including training for the football season and even wearing a helmet.”
Welker’s one-year, $9.5 million franchise tender should buy him plenty of hair product, but won’t protect him from the ribbing he’s going to get when he gets to camp.
