The New England Patriots allowed tight end Visanthe Shiancoe to leave their facility without a contract in place following last week’s free-agent visit. Shiancoe has lined up more suitors.
Citing a team source, Geoff Mosher of the Wilmington News Journal reports that Shiancoe will visit the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday.
The Eagles seem to have soured on Clay Harbor as Brent Celek’s primary backup at tight end. 32-year-old Shiancoe would provide a veteran upgrade on Harbor and Brett Brackett.
