@ petedutcher: Tebow gets a bad rap because he can’t pass. He’s a Bobby Douglas-style QB who can occasionally throw a pass, but is more effective as a runner.

His performance against the Lions last year should tell you everything you need to know.

I’m no Tebow follower but I really don’t get the hate toward the guy. So he’s a running QB…Michael Vick was too and he was a fan favorite (not to me though).

If Tebow had come in and caused his team to lose a lot of games, I would get it. But he came in and he won games.

I think he’s getting a bum deal. And I think bigotry due to his beliefs are one of the main reasons.

Ahhhh, but he is never more “out of position” than when he plays quarterback.

What this may be telling us is that he isn’t actually their #2 QB, but rather just a gimmick QB, which is all he’ll ever be. So when Sanchez gets benched, it might be Greg McElroy that actually does the passing.

If the sideshow and the QB delusions could be set aside, I would say a team is better off with Tebow than without him in whatever role they see fit for him. He has talent and the intangibles. And I’m not a fan…just got to appreciate what he did last year.

I see, the Jets have finally realized that Tebow is a waste in a Pro style offense. And with the substantial number of career ending/life altering injuries sustained by players on kick offs, maybe they are hoping that Tebow can take himself out of the equation, rather than have a QB controversy between 2 bad QBs

How exactly is that going to happen when his own team doesn’t take him seriously?

No team would EVER consider using a future QB in this manner.

Tebow is nothing more than a side show attraction and the Jets are using him as such.

The Broncos are better off without him.
