It wasn’t the Chief’s strong suit, but Dan excels at choosing coaches. With Tomlin, he struck gold. Hope to have him around for many years to come.

Tomlin’s extension is certainly well-deserved. If there is such a thing as an “elite” (i.e., top five) head coach in the NFL today, Tomlin is it.

1969-2016 is 48 seasons. Only 3 head coaches over 48 seasons. That simply boggles the mind.

Jerry Richardson has a serious man-crush on the Rooneys and wants his team to be like theirs. Not a bad model, especially with such great head coaches.

Congrats to one of the beat coaches in football. Many people thought he was too much of a players coach but when he took over after the departure of Cower, he set pretty sharp boundaries. He is a no nonsense coach. Though young, he has a sharp tongue with the players and they all respect him for it. I live the way he talks to the media. He is well spoken and doesn’t put up with any BS questions. He can be very intense and intimidating, but has a young mans swag and knows how to talk to both, the educated and the knuckle headed athlete.. There is no question that it was his coaching that continues to put the Steelers on top, he didn’t just inherit players like That Caldwell guy that got fired in Indy.

Tomlin is a hard nosed guy. Seems like consistency with staff brings success.

I hope by keeping Marvin Lewis around, my Bengals head in the right direction. Baby steps, Cincy, baby steps.

And a Bengals fan as well. As a football fan first, how can you not like Tomlin. Still remember the rumblings from players during his first training camp @ how hard camp was, have not heard a Steeler complain about camp since.

The only thing is did they give him a deal commensurate of a coach that has taken his team to two Super Bowls, winning one of them or did they get cheap and say take it or leave it with a low-ball offer. I’m a Browns fan, but I have serious respect for this man as a coach. He is a good coach and hopefully the Rooney’s know it.

Congratulations Coach Tomlin! I love your style and your attitude. You bring class to a class organization. I was quite honestly disappointed when the Steelers bypassed Wisenhut for you but once again, the Rooneys proved why they’re better equipped than me to run the organization and make the tough decisions!
