APThe list keeps dwindling, bit by bit.
The Texans did their part toward knocking out the signing of draft picks, finishing up a deal with third-rounder Brandon Brooks last night, according to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle.
Brooks, the second of their two third-rounders, got a four-year deal with $2.8 million, with a $617,436 signing bonus. He’ll compete for a starting job at right guard with Antoine Caldwell.
With his deal taken care of, the Texans draft class is finished.
As of the start of business this morning, only 19 picks remained unsigned league-wide, including six first-rounders (Matt Kalil, Justin Blackmon, Ryan Tannehill, Dontari Poe, Kendall Wright and Brandon Weeden), three second-rounders, nine third-rounders and a fifth.
