And we’re down to a dozen — unsigned draft picks that is.

PFT has confirmed the Dolphins have signed third-round pick Olivier Vernon, a defensive end from Miami to a four-year contract.

The Dolphins still have two more picks to sign, first-round quarterback Ryan Tannehill and third-round tight end Michael Egnew.

The Dolphins have time, as they don’t practice until Friday morning.

With 12 left league-wide, including five first-rounders, much of the pre-camp drama is gone, thanks to the slotted salary scale of the new CBA.

I’m really curious to see how Vernon does. He was rated as a draft steal by many, and if he can live up to his potential, he and Cam Wake should be able to wreak absolute havoc behind many an opposing O-line.
