Pats bring Tim Bulman back home

AP

Tim Bulman is coming home.  For now.

The Patriots have signed veteran defensive lineman Tim Bulman to a one-year deal, according to a source with knowledge of the transaction.  Bulman, a native of Milton, Massachusetts who played at Boston College, spent five seasons with the Texans and one with the Cardinals.

He has experience in both 4-3 and 3-4 defenses, which is a good thing since the Pats use 3-4 and 4-3 fronts interchangeably.

If Bulman survives the cuts from 90 to 53, he’ll be a backup at best; he has only two starts in six NFL seasons.

Don’t know much about this player but if he can play on the interior he has a small chance to make the team. If he only can play on the outside he has no chance.

He is a high motor high energy guy that gives 100% on every play. Plus he is a great team and locker guy.

Did a great job as a backup for the Texans. More than once, he gave the standout effort in his role. Wishing him well.
