There is only one explanation, and you know it. (It’s easy for me to take this stance bc physics and math allow me to).

If there were any definitive video proof that Fuqua grazed the ball BEFORE Tatum clearly hit it, you’d be right. But there isn’t. Fuqua is the only one who knows if he so much as minutely deflected it into Tatum’s chest.

By using your logic, I could argue that your whole offense and coaching staff was terrified of the Steel Curtain. But I don’t believe that for a second. It’s called respect for a heck of an opponent.

NOLL later admitted that Joe Greene and Mel Blount had a similar style of play, Blount later sued NOLL as well.
