After a visit to Baltimore earlier this week didn’t yield a deal, veteran guard Eric Steinbach has found work.
The former Browns and Bengals guard has agreed to a one-year contract with the Dolphins, according to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post.
Steinbach didn’t play last year, while recovering from back surgery, but has 124 starts in his career, and adds some needed experience to the middle of the Dolphins line.
In Miami, he’s reunited with his college coach from Iowa, Dolphins boss Joe Philbin.

He used to be pretty good with the Bengals although he did let up on the play that tore Palmer’s knee up.
Thought noone wanted to come to Miami…hmm…
Long, Incognito, Pouncey, Steinbach, J.Martin sure looks good on paper. If they can gel together the Fins are going to suprise a lot of people.
They’re making moves. They seem like a team that will go 8-8. That’s the worst record, you didn’t have a winning or losing season. you were neutral all around and bland.
8-8 is the worst record? Wow, that is shockingly idiotic considering you can make the playoffs at 7-9, and it happened.
Fins are horrible
Good solid signing!!!
Great, another player coming off a missed season due to back surgery.
The good thing that is obvious is that the coaching staff along with GM (yes the GM) are looking to improve the foundation of the team…the line. If the line is solid a mediocre QB will become a good QB and a good QB will become great.
