Eli Manning is saying I need more Rings!!!!! He’s like a fat kid in a candy store, U cant buy just one piece of candy. Eli cant wear that Ring from 2012 to the 2013 Superbowl. He needs a 2013 Superbowl ring to go along with his 2008, and 2012.

never say “all” jets/pokes fans, it makes us seem as bad as them. I have a couple jet and cowboy fan friends and they respect the giants. it’s hard not to respect the giants, they’re a classy organization, outstanding coach, an absolute monster on the Dline who is only going to keep getting better and the clutchest 4th quarter QB ever.

these are the fans of other teams who will reluctantly give the GMEN our due when we win another one (i hope!!).

now eagles fans, them there’s no hope for.

Like Jeter, who was always a winner and his stats kept accumulating over the years with the rings up to the point to where he is no considered best ss ever. Watch Eli’s career do same thing.

You mean that defense that ranked 26th in the NFL and 28th in points allowed and also allowed more points all season then the giants offense scored? That defense? And those al pro receivers… Like Mario manningham fresh off injury, victor Cruz fresh off of a season ending injury last aeason, hakeem(tip pick specialist) nicks in his second year and Jake ballard ubdrafted in his first year and constantly injured. That must make other qbs green with envy watching that all star giants team work. I mean the last ranked running game, a bad o line, young and injury prone receivers and a bottem 5 defense in POINTS ALLOWED(the saints pats and packers were all top 15 in ill add), I am guessing tom Brady is wishing he was on the giants. I bet rodgers would trade his receiving corp in a second for those guys. Hell brees would play outside in the snow to have those guys right

Eli is correct because if they play like tey did last year they won’t make the playoffs. As far as the playoff run being lucky well let’s see getting Atlanta out of the dome helped because they don’t beat Atlanta in Atlanta. Green bay hurt themselves by sitting their starters for what seemed like a month and you could tell because green bay was not sharp and basically played themselves out of the game. San Fran not having ginn I mean San Fran out played the giants in every way and to have te game come down to two fumble punts when the team you played missed at least 3 easy picks and completed one pass to a wide out lol lucky. Then a dropped pass and missed field goal by the ravens who are a better team than the giants and patriots put a patriot team in the playoffs. You didn’t really have to worry about the best offensive weapon on the pats because of an ankle and a missed pass from Brady to welker gave you a title. Luck and some skill but play that way this year an you’ll be fourth in the NFC east

Two things that were once considered impossible:

1) Beating Green Bay in Green Bay in the Playoffs (Giants did it twice)

2) Beating Belicheck and Brady in the Playoffs (Giants did it twice)

How can you consider it luck when they did the near impossible, not once but twice?

You don’t get better by being complacent. As far as getting lucky goes, they did get some good breaks, but when you finish your season off by beating the Cowboys, Falcons, Packers, 49ers and Patriots and all on the road I think you get a little credit for being good too.

I can’t disagree with Eli. It’s a fine line winning in the NFL. If Tony Romo doesn’t overthrow Miles Austin the Giants finish out of the playoffs at 8-8 and who knows might even have a new coach.

What the Giants did prove (twice) the 2010 Packers and the 2008 Cardinals (though they lost in the last minute) is you just need to get in and get hot. Good QB play and a pass rush are the two most important things.

Love how the giants were lucky. It seems every year another wild card teams makes and or wins the superbowl but only when the giants do it its lucky. I mean green bay does the same thing and what’s they are considered the best team of all times. New York does it and its luck. Doesn’t make sense

The Giants ran a clinic in GB they did every thing but pull a ball out of a hat.
The Giants OWNED the flackr that day and guess what that day is the one that mattered.

Ask the 18-1 Pats how having one bad day or game can ruin your year.

Eli is a player that when he has to win he does who cares about season win enough to get in and after that just win baby win.
The Mannings will be so proud to have both Eli and Payton in the HOF one day

First, any claims that the Giants got “lucky” or won because the other team played uncharacteristically bad is just plain nonsense and if you’re saying these things you probably shouldn’t comment about sports because “luck” rarely has a critical role – especially in the NFL.

Secondly, this is the mindset your QB should have, and also why Eli is a 2-time SB champion. He knows what it takes, and knows that a 9-7 regular season isn’t going to be good enough – SO.. he is exactly right, they have to improve.

It’s also nice to have to improve after a season in which you won the SB.

Eli Manning has ice water running through his veins. The man has an attribute that is difficult to quantify, it’s called clutch factor. Eli is a straight monster entering the prime of his career. The fact that he sees need for improvement is excellent.

Even after a second SB title and SB MVP, the haters are still in full force. ” The Giants got lucky and the other teams beat themseleves.” Keep hating, Eli and the Giants love it. The less respect you give to them, the greater performance they tend to display.

Well he is technically right. I mean they did have the 28th ranked defense even with JPP, lost to the redskins twice and Vince Young, and Eli threw his annual 15-20 + interceptions.

Or we went into the 15-1 Packers house and beat them by 17… And to go even further, 10 of those Green Bay 17 points were the direct result of 2 horrible calls (Greg Jennings fumble, and Osi roughing the passer), but of course you’ll completely ignore that.

You’re also conveniently leaving out, that it took a last minute drive in the regular season for Green Bay to beat the Giants by 3 (38-35). But yes, Green Bay was that much better then New York… As completely evidenced by how bad they beat them..

The Giants were outscored by their opponents.
They were 5-7 in conference games.
3-3 in divisional games.
Only 9-7 overall; was 6th best record in the NFC.

Plenty of room for improvement.
