Don’t blame Harvin for the confusion. This is all second hand babble from coach Frazier. Harvin knows his high school and college had items in a trophy case and vikings have zero trophies and have never ever had plans for a trophy case.

If Ponder pans out (and it’s still a big IF as of now) and Jerome Simpson stays clean, the Vikings will have one hell of an offense when A.P. returns to full health.

How is it that every comment section under the vikings turns into a “Ponder sucks / Ponders great” pissing match???

Harvin had great numbers last year but they could have been better… there were a number of times that they took him out in the red zone which makes no sense at all.. I was yelling at the tv a lot last year with the red zone play calling

The only way Harvin brings a championship to Minn is by stealing one of the Lombardi trophies from Lambeau. I wouldn’t put it past him actually.

And Ponder didn’t even have a training camp to speak of. No real leadership until the lockout ended. On his first NFL QB start, he scared the living Be Jezzus out of the Packers. None of them will admit it, but he did. Impressive as hell, and you can’t deny it.

Yep, I’m a Vikings fan, duh. And I am putting Ponder into the category of names listed above. The Cam Newtons of the earth are very, very rare.

Maybe. Or maybe he did mean it, but then his agent explained that he was under contract for the next two years and there was no way the vikes were going to trade him. So, his best bet is to peform well over the next two years so he can go get his big payday somewhere else.

More playing time for Harvin certainly shouldn’t be an issue this year if AP is not ready week 1.
If the Vikes throw it more he’s their #1 receiver.
If they run it alot, he’s their #2 remaining rusher behind Toby Gerhard.
If they can’t score points, he’s their #1 kick & punt returner.
No worries.

he is upset because he knows Ponder sucks. Harvin started out with Brett Favre and got spoiled. Now he has Pick-6-Ponder.

yeah…he needs to be used more…only had 87 catches for 967 yards and 6TD’s, only rushed 52 times for 356 and 2TDs yards and only returned 16 kickoffs back for 1 TDs and had a 32ypr average…Top 10 in league in all purpose yards…
yep….they didn’t use him enough at all.
Sometimes I wonder if they just regurgitate what one person wrote without really looking anything up?

If all this was about Percy wanting more playing time, that’s a no-brainer, give it to him. Vikings can’t go on with using him in only 40% of plays- like they did last year- presumably due to injury concerns. He’s young, and has been relatively healthy now, so at some point you just have to play him full-time.

Paul Allen (Vikings play-by-play guy) said Harvin was upset with one of his teammates, and blew up over it. It had nothing to do with his coaches, offense, or his pay.
