I can’t even look at this without getting choked up. If you aren’t from here, didn’t experience these things (the storm itself, the possiblity that we would lose the team, and the eventual re-opening), I can’t express to you how important this moment was.

How about a statue with a toilet bowl filled with cash? Afterall, that is what the SuperDome was during the hurricane and what the Saints became when they sold their souls to win a Super Bowl.

Maybe they should have just saved their money and bought the Joe Paterno statue for a dollar. A more shining icon for what is wrong in American sports could not be found!

Not a Saints fan, but I remember watching that game. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a moment of football any more compelling from a human standpoint. It sent the right kind of chills up my spine.
