Comments on: Ben Roethlisberger has a “little torn rotator cuff”

I don’t see how anyone can doubt that Ben’s injuries of the past were 100% real. Think about it:
1) They have to play the Ravens at least twice a year, and nobody is walking away from those games without dings.
2) Was the #3 most sacked QB in 2011, #11 most sacked in 2010, #1 most sacked in 2009, #2 in 2008, and #2 in 2007.

Of *ALL* active Quarterbacks he is the most sacked QB in the league, period (314 since 2004). The guy gets knocked around like nobodies business, so I’m pretty sure his injuries are real. Still, he does himself no favors by insisting he play even though he’s clearly too injured to be effective so let’s hope Haley reins him in this year and sits his butt on the bench if he isn’t their best shot at winning.

I’m a Steeler fan for life. Ben is a very tough qb. The hit from Ngata and how he got back in there and saved the game immediately comes to mind.

But he’s got to keep his mouth shut when it comes to injuries. It’s information that is better his trainer and coaches, not in the minds of his competitors.

I am sure he has a small tear in the cuff. I’m sure most qb’s his age does. Seems like every summer he divulges something he shouldn’t regarding an injury. I think part of it is “If I don’t perform up to the winning standard, they’ll remember my comment on the torn rotator cuff.” He plants these little seeds with the media to cover for himself, when he doesn’t need to.

He’s an aging qb. Simple. We love you Ben. We can’t live without you. But you gotta keep your mouth shut, dude. You’ve got 2 Lombardi’s, that amazing rookie year, all sorts of Steeler qb records… You’ll always be a winner for us. Just shut up already and you’ll go down in Steeler lore as one of the true greats.

Now they know how uncomfortable the rest of us feel. We are all constantly holding our breath whenever any Steeler fan comes around.

It’s either do that or start striking a lot of matches and blowing them out quick…

WOW i thought no one can out do Favre. But Ben has now. If that happen at the end of the season last year. It would shown up sooner. Ben did something to it over the off season. Something like that shows up sooner then later folks. it happen to my ex. So he is lying about getting hurt end of last season.

I always love how people get it wrong about BR and his injuries all the time. This guy is the toughest QB in the NFL. Sure, he plays up a lot of minor injuries but the guy also plays through injuries that others would not. Are Ravens fans saying that BR was being a drama queen after Ngata punched him in the nose 2 years ago? Or what about BR having his leg bent over the wrong way last year? Was BR being a drama queen there too? I want to see Ngata punch you in the nose and then have a 300lb lineman bend your ankle the wrong way. Lets us see how you walk the few minutes afterwards, nevermind continuing to play football.

That is totally messed up. He should have come out in the open with the injury when it happened so that whoever was responsible for the hit could pick up their extra money.

All of the sudden Ben has a “little” torn rotator cuff??? Funny how just a “little” torn rotator cuff now makes me have “huge” concerns about him making it through the season. I further believe those concerns are fully valid and fully justified. Funny how that works since this torn rotator cuff thing is so “little”.

Ben’s rotator cuff injury is probably no worse than the rotator cuff injuries a lot of us have from twisting off beer bottle caps. You don’t see us whining like little girls. We still strap it on every Sunday (and call in absent Monday).

Is this guy for real.. I mean i guess he is going to be grimising for the camara this year again after ever bad throw. Like seriously common is he being serious right not. He got hurt in the baltimor game they lost and played the rest of the season…. other then the rams game when he hurt his ankle BAADD. He has to be the toughest player in the NFL.. seriously common he has an injury? He is just sooo tough… is he even really hurt? P-G columnist Ron Cook once wrote that Roethlisberger is better than Bradshaw. He actually predicted that the Steelers would beat the Packers in SB 45 for one reason and one reason only: Roethlisberger.
Cook also wrote that before Roethlisberger is finished, he’ll have played in more Super Bowls and win more rings than any QB in history.
These is the nonsense that’s being fed to the sheep on a daily basis.
The Steelers are 4-1 the past two seasons when Roethlisberger hasn’t played. Go figure.

Courtney Upshaw and Pernell McPhee will no doubt be targeting that shoulder. Almost feel sorry for the guy.

Not that it matters because the Steelers don’t even need Ben to play to win games. Yet somehow Steelers fans give him all the credit when they win. That credit should go to the defense.

Not even preseason and the Steelers have laid it on thick with the excuses to fall back on SHOULD they fail.

1. A new offensive coordinator.
2. Mike Wallace holding out.
3. Big Ben playing hurt (change the record).

Can’t wait to hear the announcers commenting on
how “the loss of Hines Wards’ leadership has really impacted this team.”
