APJets center Nick Mangold ultimately decided to take a trip to London for the Olympics, where he watched his sister, Holley, compete in women’s super heavyweight lifting.
He was “very proud” of his sibling.
“The fact that she has only been doing this for a handful of years and here she is on a world stage at the Olympics competing,” Nick Mangold said, via NBCOlympics.com. “I think that’s fantastic.”
Holley Mangold finished 10th in the event. She lifted 105 kilograms (235 pounds) in the snatch and 135 kilos (297 pounds) in the clean and jerk, despite a wrist injury.

From my hometown. Congrats to the Alter Knight.
Too bad she wasn’t able to medal but a top 10 finish in the Olympics is still fantastic. The skill level to even make the Olympic team in a large country like the US is an achievement in and of itself.
With that said, that’s probably the last time I’ll be posting anything positive on a Jets related story
Not to mention she competed with a torn tendon in her right wrist. Congrats Holly!
Congrats Holly..
Giving how much the Jets enjoy the circus atmosphere, they should offer her a contract.
just sayin…
An why isn’t she on the 53 man roster?
All that work for 10th place. She must be gutted!!
Mangold and the Jets won’t even make it to 10th place in the NFL after this season is over.
Maybe the Jest can bring her in to help with punt coverage.
“She lifted 105 kilograms (235 pounds) in the snatch”
That is impressive!
hurt her wrist during the clean and jerk…happens to the best of us.

That is NASTY!
