I’ve been a lefty way longer than Tebow! His throwing motion just KILLS me! It’s just sloppy. Wonder who his college coach was. One thing I agree with Boomer is Tim has the worst throwing motion of any QB in the league, the worst foot action in the NFL and the worst signal calling! And as the son of a pastor, I don’t go for all this “I love the Lord” BS either. Those who truely serve the ‘almight’ do it in a humble way. Not with an ‘in your face’ type attitude. Count me as one of those that thinks Tim Tebow will be OUT of the NFL after or before this season is over!!!!

Boomer can’t have it both ways. If Tebow is such a bad QB, he poses no threat to Sanchez. He was brought in as just another tool for a reinforced ground-and-pound strategy. Tebow is a perfect fit as a motivated player who finds ways to win on a team of unmotivated players who find ways to lose. If Sanchez goes down for any extended period, we’ll probably see quite a bit of Greg McElroy–who will be throwing screen passes to Tim Tebow!

Boomer was a much greater QB than Tebow. 4 Pro Bowl seasons and a Super Bowl appearance. More than what Tebow will ever do.

All Tebow do is WIN. Boomer had a great name for a NFL QB. but thats all… Boomer was below average… Just like hes a below average comintator. Tebow is a WINNER. an he has his OWN FAN BASE. I dont like the Jets but I wanna see Tebow play QB against any team in the league. All Tebow knows is that he will WIN.

I love all the folks here, whose only qualifications are setting up a user name on a web site, calling out actual successful pro football QB Esiason for his supposed lack of qualifications to speak on the issues of quarterbacking and team dynamics.

I am old. Look up Jamarcus Russell’s stats or Ryan Leaf’s stats or Trent Dilfer’s first 3 years stats …and there are many other quarterbacks who did much much worse than Tebow. Tebow also won a playoff game and won several clutch games even though his completion percentage was pretty low at times.

Let’s be honest…Tim Tebow is probably the worst QB in the last what? 20 years? The guy cannot throw the ball to save his life and in the NFL you cannot be successful if you don’t have a good QB…The only reason the Broncos won anything last year was because of their great defense,Matt Prater and because NFL defenses didn’t know how to shut down the option offense at first, similar to the Wildcat and how great that was in the first year…Yeah, Tim Tebow made a couple of plays with his legs here and there and had the one good pass to Demaryius Thomas against the Steelers but that’s it…The guy has the worst arm I’ve ever seen, there’s no way to deny that, and if the Jets really want to build around Sanchez and have him become the franchise QB they need, they cannot have his confidence undermined by the fans cheering for Tim Tebow to come in the game whenever Sanchez makes a mistake

Seems to me Tebow is an ideal candidate as a backup. He is capable of playing as a starter – his record in that role last year with the Broncos proves that. He can come in and provide a “change-of-pace” when desired, whether that is just in the red zone, on two point conversions, or if Sanchez is not getting it done. And if Sanchez can’t handle that, when the team has made it very clear that there is not a QB “competition”, then he isn’t going to be good enough to lead the team to a SuperBowl anyway, and the sooner the Jets find that out, the better.

Sanchez career record 27-20…4-2 in playoffs(all on the road) beating some quarterbacks you may have heard of in their house – Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Philip Rivers and Carson Palmer.

But hey Sanchez isnt a winner tebow is right? Bc Tebow won 1 playoff game and has gone 8-6 as a starter…stop this tebow loving it’s sickening…he’s the most over rated quarterback in the history of the NFL.

Look. say what you want about Esiason as an announcer/analyst. Least he took his team to a Superbowl; and only a typical Montana Miracle beat the Bengals that year. So he lost; as have a lot of others. But they all throw the ball from behind their ear, not from behind their knee. Jets have to find another job for Tim if he is going to contribute to his potential.
