Any improvement the Chiefs make this year is directly tied to the kind of season quarterback Matt Cassel has.

The good news for Cassel is two of his main weapons will be back on the field with him this week.

According to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star, running back Jamaal Charles and tight end Tony Moeaki, along with safety Eric Berry are going to play Friday against Arizona.

Coach Romeo Crennel said they three recovering stars would practice against Cardinals tomorrow as well.

Charles and Moeaki were given Saturday off to give them ample chances to recover.

Friday’s game will be a big step for Charles, his first game action since tearing his ACL early last season. The mental aspect of the game is often as big a hurdle as the physical, so getting one under his belt should help.
