He’s baaaaaaack.
Sort of. Maybe. Almost.
The Seahawks have confirmed that receiver Terrell Owens has a Monday tryout with the team. Owens’ visit to Seattle was first reported by our buddy Dave “Softy” Mahler of KJR radio.
Owens was out of football in 2011 after tearing an ACL away from the field. He held an open workout in October that no one attended, on a day that more than 50 guys were flown in to the various NFL cities for tire kickings. Since then, no one has shown even a whiff of interest in Owens.
With the Seahawks cutting receiver Antonio Bryant, the door has opened.
If the tryout goes well and Owens gets a preseason roster spot, it doesn’t mean he’ll be suiting up as of Week One. Before he gets there, he’ll have to make it from the 90-man roster to the final 53.
