i've read that us Hawk fans are dumb for thinking that the T.O experiment can work and if it does work what will you call us?! and if it doesn't he won't play all year we payed no more than 600,000 so with that check i think T.O knows he can't be all drama filled queen he is. I do not like that moves the front office has made if that was a position that needed to be addressed than we should have made it a priority in the off-season not wait till training camp is over! an i love reading about stats and what stats do.. they do not do much in helping the team win. its the plays on the field that help the team win and I love reading about the bouched snapped romo had, that was a play on the field that lost them game! and big play babs made it happen! T.O. just needs to play hard and make plays when needed to be.

Gammy, here are some stats below. Remember that Owens left Dallas 4 years ago and he had good years in Buffalo (no QB) and Cincy (even in 14 games, starting 11). Also, though Dallas has had good passing stats their record has got worse since he left, they are still looking for a reliable veteran WR at the #2/3 positions. Austin - good, but hurt and Dez - good, but vanishes at end of games and missed some games too. TO would have succeeded 4 years ago regardless where he played, so your assumption that Romo extended his career is, in my opinion, wrong. I like Romo as a QB - no doubt though. I'm thinking TO will have a good year in Seattle.

TO Stats:
2006 85 rec 1,180 yds	13TDs
2007 81 rec 1,355 yds	15.TDs
2008	69 rec	1,052 yds	10 TDs
2010 Cincy - 72 rec 983 yds 9 TDs (Started 11 games)

Laurent Robinson Stats (with Austin/Bryant out):
2011 54 receptions 858 yards 11 TDs

Garrett should have said nothing. TO’s performance made Garrett appear as an offensive “genius”, at the time, and made him wanted around the league as HC material. Garrett and his buddy Witten then backstabbed Phillips and Owens and got them both out of Dallas. Once, TO was gone so was the interest in Garrett’s coaching skills as his value dropped (Atlanta, Baltimore, Oakland, etc. passed on him). Garrett is one of those guys who talks a good game, but in reality is not a good coach. TO had 3 great years in Dallas.

how bout no.
Since Owens left Dallas they have been fine in the passing game with a journeyman like Laurent Robinson having a better season than Owens has had since leaving the Cowboys. The passing game has never been a problem with Dallas with Rom at the helm and if anything, he probably extendd T O's career by a few years.

"As his rep. took a hit (terrible playcalling), he was passed over in Detroit, Oakland, and STL."

Or maybe he didn't have much interest in working for three of the worst teams in the NFL, two of which happen to exist in two of the worst places to live in the country in the first place. I can't speak to St. Louis. I've never been there.

ppc50 - your opinions have no basis in reality. In TO's last season with the Cowboys, they had the 13th ranked offense in terms of yards and 18th in terms of points scored. Since then they've never been worse than 11th in yards and 15th in points.

Gorilla - thanks for the compliment - very mature, but what happened in Dallas is absolutely true - Witten, and Romo, some what, hated TO and wanted him off the team. I do agree about the ATL and Balt job, because Jones guaranteed him the Dallas job. As his rep. took a hit (terrible playcalling), he was passed over in Detroit, Oakland, and STL.

@ppc50.....well it's good to see that T.O's mom weighed in on the subject. Your assessment of what happened is almost laughable. And for the record, Garrrett was offered the jobs in both Atlanta and Baltimore and he turned both jobs down. Now go get your shinebox and help T.O pay his child support!
