If the Dolphins don’t want there players using the F bomb when they talk to the press, so what, try to do that at your work place, its not censorship, its common sense. Chad needs to realized that he is on a short list to get kick off the team, best to get his act on the right track. Bill

How would the show be scripted? You mean to tell me the same day Chad gave his interview, the coach got a script, studied it, and then recited it to Chad all of this during the hectic training camp? Impressive

Scripted as in they brought in Chad, told him to go off at first and then let Philbin bring him back to earth establishing some rep with the other players who see that Chad listened to him.

Not scripted like it’s word for word on paper but scripted in terms of the order of events and their outcome.

If the adage is true that the team takes on the personality of it’s coach – then the Dolphins will be one of the most boring teams of all time.

He is boring, the team is boring, and that episode was brutally boring. 1 and done for me on that show.

I’m so glad Chief Shanahan declined the offer for this show. Only second rate franchises sign up for this show…it’s so completely unnecessary for football teams as they try to re-install glameplans or build commrodorie for the following 5-6 months of season.

The lecture didn’t look scripted to me, but Philbin did look like he was kind of stumbling through it. Looked like he wasn’t used to having to come down on a guy for that sort of behavior, and having to play the “good guy” coach who expects better. I did love how hard they were on Vontae though, and I love his response. I love me some Vontae but dude needs to SHOW UP IN SHAPE. When grease-for-hands Sean Smith is showing you up, you need to shift it to a higher gear. Turn it up a couple notches VD.

I thought he said one of the reasons why he didn’t play well for my team last year was because his personality was stifled (what a load of crap). How is this any different?

It was funny when they played that clip of Philbin talking to Chad about his cussing for Marvin Lewis, he laughed and said Chad doesn’t even cuss that much in real life, it was an act. He also said a year plus ago BB wouldn’t be dumb enough to trade for Chad. Wish BB had listened.

It only cost Chad if he is not made “available” to the press. He doesn’t have to say a damn word to them! If I’m Chad, I wouldn’t say jack to them either! They won’t have anything good to say if he says anything or if he’s quiet! So, keep it buttoned! I’m sure, they will censor this post! Love the press, they don’t want to be censored, but they will sure as hell censor you!

Nobody likes a quiet Chad Johnson. The two just don’t mix good. Chad just feels like HBO was picking on him and that lecture shouldn’t have been televised. This is Hard Knocks Chad so get used to it. All access for the fans. Personally I feel this experience will shed some much needed light on this organization. GO PHINS!

If Davis fails to establish himself as a shutdown corner within the next season to season and a half , it will be a costly blow to this franchise and yet another high draft pick wasted. Let’s hope he starts living up to his potential sooner rather than later. Otherwise either the Jets or Pats (everybody Miami cuts stays in the division) will sign him and he’ll be in the Pro Bowl every year.

A lot of that show was scripted, you can tell by the way the coach was fumbling through lecturing Chad. the dolphins may surprise some people lol
