APNot many people covering Calvin Johnson come out of the transaction looking good.
But Lions cornerback Chris Houston hopes it helps when it’s time to cover people not Calvin Johnson.
“He’s the best wide receiver in the game,” Houston told Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “He’s giving you hell day in and day out, and it’s training camp.
“We have to face guys like Brandon Marshall, Larry Fitzgerald, so he’s preparing us for that. That’s what I go to practice thinking about.”
Of course, it’s hard when you’re going through it. Birkett said Houston walked off the practice field shaking his head recently, saying: “God should have given me 4 more inches. Do you know what it’s like to hold Calvin Johnson every day? It’s hell.”
Houston better get ready, because he’ll be drawing opponents’ top receivers all year.
After cutting Aaron Berry just before the start of camp, the Lions are left with nothing but questions at the other corner, meaning the pressure will fall squarely on the 5-foot-11 Houston.

Hate to say it but it’s time to go shopping for secondary help. Good corners are hard to find and have a tough job every week.
Sweet, love to hear that from a Fantasy Perspective always going to be a High Scoring Game against the Lions. Yeah!
He’s got a point. If you cover the best, everyone else should be easier.
Greg Jennings is going to make you his bitch twice a year for the foreseeable future, Chris.
Apparently you can’t make a comment on that “4 more inches” quote.
“Houston walked off the practice field shaking his head recently, saying: “God should have given me 4 more inches.”
That’s what she said!

Who is Greg Jennings? OH YA, thats right, hes that WR thats in the 2nd tier of WR’s, ya know the one right under Calvin’s tier?
You better hope the Packers can get away with 12 men on the field, cuz theyre gonna need the extra guy to cover (or try to cover) #81. Who am i kidding though, the Packers get away with everything.
