People commenting on Manning’s footwork and jitteriness are ignorant – this has been a Manning trademark for the past decade, he was taught as far back as college to always keep his feet moving so as to minimize the risk of injury of being hit from a planted position but same time be able to setup and step into a throw in a compact motion.

It has NOTHING to do with jitteriness or looking scared in the pocket – even when Manning has good protection he ALWAYS keeps his feet moving and has pocket mobility second-to-none.

Lets see, peyton is on the last few years of his career. maybe 3 more years, after major injury and you think Colts should’ve passed up on Luck, a guy who most scouts graded higher than any other qb coming out of college since Manning…you think they should’ve kept manning and paid him 3 to 4 times more what Luck is being paid while not having the money to upgrade any other position. Keep Manning and hope for the best in the next couple years and ignore the future of the franchise for the next 10-12 years that Luck will be around.

People like you are going to hide behind these comments in two years when you realize the Colts franchise is setting themselves up for another run at future 10+ season wins and possible Superbowl contenders. All to keep Peyton around few more years on a mediocre team at best.

I’m not even a Colts fan. Being a fan of another team who has searched for a franchise qb for over a decade, i don’t know whether to laugh or feel sorry for comments like yours above. I’m sure the same comments were made by fans when Montana moved to KC, when Rodgers took over in GB.

As someone who has watched just about every ball Peyton has thrown in games, I can say, don’t worry about the fluttering ball. He never did throw a consistent tight spiral. His balls have always fluttered. His arm strength looked a little off, but not much. Arm strength is way down the list on the things that have made him a great QB.

He will return to being a top 5 QB, and if your defense holds up, expect a very good year. He has played without a great offensive line since for about 3-4 years, so just average will be good enough.

The Bears defense must really suck if they can’t even get one hit on MegaHead against that offensive line…but we know he’ll get hit hard sooner or later, and that’s what we’re all waiting for.

I am not sure I’d completely credit manning for the interception. He might have been behind the receiver, but it still hit him in the hands. Receivers have to catch those, and the Denver receivers had their fair share of drops for Tebow last year too.

So you did not watch the game. I watched it, every play and he looked very Manning like, after going 19 months without throwing a pass. A little rusty, but ball out quickly and many accurate throws.

Hard to go deep too much when you only play one series and it starts on yr own 40…….jackass

This team had Tebow as thier starter less than a year ago. And now they have Peyton?! Be thankful that you will get wins from your offense and not just your D and the last 2 minutes against bad teams. The Pats game showed why Manning was such a great pickup.
