APGuard Travelle Wharton’s Bengals debut didn’t last very long.
Wharton, signed as a free agent this offseason after he was released by the Panthers, went down with what looked like a right knee injury on the third offensive play of the game for Cincinnati. The starting left guard was able to walk to a cart under his own power, but the fact that they needed to cart him off from there isn’t a great sign about the injury.
Otis Hudson will likely take over for the Bengals, who went three-and-out on their first offensive series after holding the Jets to the same on their first possession.

So who do we use to replace him?
Hope he’s alright. He gave us several good years in Carolina. His release had nothing to do with his performance, it was cap related and he and the Panthers were far apart in terms of what a restructured contract should look like.
I read Clint Boling has been having a good camp – sounds like we will need him to step up. WHO-DEY
Don’t worry…Mike Brown will open the wallet to find a replacement
Roger Goodell has just suspended Jonathan Vilma an extra 4 games because of this.
