APThe Eagles have a quarterback with a broken non-throwing hand.
But it’s not Michael Vick.
According to a stream of tweets from the Eagles’s official Twitter account this morning, the quarterback repetitions will get a bit of a turn today.
We already knew X-rays on Vick’s throwing hand were negative after he banged his hand on a teammates helmet Thursday night.
But Vick said he was going to practice this afternoon, while Mike Kafka will not.
Kafka has a fractured non-throwing hand, and will only do drills that don’t involve taking snaps. Coach Andy Reid said it was a three-week injury.
That leaves Nick Foles to take the bulk of the work behind Vick.
Foles had an impressive debut, and getting more snaps in practice just gives the Eagles more of a chance to evaluate him.

My dog has a Foles jersey!
I heard Mcnabb is a free agent!!!
might be time to give Donovan a ring for clipboard duties
RGIII and the Redskins will sweep, sweep the Eagles brother.
What will be the excuses this year for Michael Vick being a horrible QB?
On a much smaller scale but can you say Wally Pipp?
Nick Foles backup way to go kid , wish you luck !
Edwards and Foles should be the 2-3 anyway. Sorry Kafka, not enough arm.
With that broken hand, Kafka might only get a third-round pick if the Eagles trade him to the Cards.
It may not be the way he wanted to get more snaps, but Foles will sure benefit from the next couple of weeks. Kafka may be taking a ride further down the pine bench at #3. If Vick starts playing like he did last season, the Eagles may decide to test their up and coming QB in a meaningful game. Foles would surely be a cheaper option than what they are paying Vick.

=================================
Do you think that if you and the people who agree with you keep saying this enough, you can convince yourselves it’s true? Whatever you might think of him as a person, his statistics and his play make it impossible to make a case that he’s anything less than an above-average QB.
You know who the worst starting QBs are right now? Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert, and whoever wins the job in Arizona, Tennessee and Cleveland. Are you going to seriously try to make the claim that “horrible” Michael Vick belongs in this group?
Aren’t you embarrassed to say something that ridiculous?
Honestly, I wish they’d bag Kafka. I thought he would be good, but I’ve seen nothing positive out of him this far. Go with Trent Edwards and Nick Foles and use this as a reason to get rid of him.

tell us about all those playoff wins Vick has….uh…never mind
