No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Luck completed his first preseason throw to running back Donald Brown on a shovel pass. Brown turned on the jets and reached pay dirt for a 63-yard touchdown, doing about 61 yards of the damage after the catch.

We’ll have a full rundown of the Colts and Rams’ first-team groupings from Sunday’s preseason game in a bit. But Luck’s pro debut couldn’t have gone much better.

Luck figures to play one or two more possessions before the Colts rest their new franchise quarterback in favor of backup Drew Stanton.
