I don’t think many people outside of Baltimore remember, or maybe care is a better word, who didn’t catch that pass. I had already forgot Lee Evans even played for the ravens.

Sorry, more blame goes to the idiot kicker, Cundiff. That was inexcusable. But the Ravens didn’t deserve to win that game. Great teams make plays that they are supposed to make.

Hahaha…..”May have won the Super Bowl” against the Giants, I highly doubt it, the Super Bowl was like a home game for the Giants. Giants fans outnumbered Patriots fan like 1000-1 here in Indianapolis. Of course you had to throw us Colts fans in the mix, being that a Manning was playing.

Pats fan here, and I do believe the Ravens would have handled the giants just fine. Their defense is far more superior than New England’s. The Pats got lucky with that strip, no doubt about it! Ravens played a better game on that day.

Per John Oesher, Jags reporter, Evans approached Mularkey during the week and told him he knew he had nothing left in him to be a viable WR in the NFL anymore. So everyone wanting their team to sign him take heed, when the guy himself admits he’s done, he’s done. Classy move by Lee actually. Mularkey said it was hard to cut him but Evans knew he was done and didn’t want to hurt the team.

Lee Evans NEEDS to be signed and play well somewhere. Because…that drop is just atrocious. Uncalled for. A vet of his stature…I mean, wow.

Nobody will remember Lee Evans more than for that dropped pass..so I hope he gets signed and can try to erase that from his past by helping another team into the playoffs and beyond. But I doubt it.

For the record, Evans didn’t drop that pass in the AFC Championship Game, he was stripped by Sterling Moore. You can make the case that he should have had better control of the ball, but to suggest he dropped it is inaccurate. A well-coached player for the opposition chopped the ball out at the last instant; not a drop. NFL fans are full of shoulda-coulda-woulda’s, but in the end, you either make the play or your don’t. If you make it you were good enough, if you didn’t you weren’t.

Potentially? There wasn’t any potentially with that pass. That would have absolutly won the game for Baltimore. Not a bout adoubt it.

I am still not over the AFC Championship Game. Yes – Sterling Moore made a good play, but proper ball security when you have the Super Bowl literally in your hands is a must. It is certainly bad for Evans, but I feel even worse for Flacco. He was so much better than Brady on the Patriots home field that day. Flacco could not have thrown that ball any more perfectly. The heat he gets from some Ravens fans is incredible (animus from opposing fans is normal and part of the game). If Evans secures that ball properly, it would have shut up a lot of yammering Ravens fans on the Flacco hate wagon.

I think Dallas should at least bring him in for a tryout. They need a #3 this year. Coale, Harris and/or Beasley may end up being good next year, but I think they need to find a quick veteran for the time being..

Maybe Buffalo will resign Evans for the league minimum. Lee knows Fitzpatrick and would be great to play opposite of Stevie Johnson. He would surely be a better option than our current receivers. Besides, I don’t think Buffalo should have let him go, he has always been a stand up guy.

…good ridding’s. This guy costed us (Baltimore Ravens) the AFC Championship last year. He just doesn’t have it anymore. Maybe this will be a wakeup call for him or it might just be too lake. He doesn’t play like his heart is in the game. When you play that way it shows up “big-time.” Everyone can see it… except him.
