Not specifically to Benson but did it ever occur to you that those other teams aren’t that great and any personnel decisions by that team are immediately suspect? Either hiring or firing?

“Oh Arizona passed on him! You guys are suckers” – compare AZ’s relative success over the last 20 years with GB’s.

“He was in the Chiefs’ camp and they didn’t sign him – GB doesn’t know what they’re doing!”

23 teams passed on Aaron Rodgers – were they “smarter” than GB? Look at the receivers GB has amassed into one of the very strongest in the league (as a group). GB’s done more with less than most anyone.

I don’t know if Benson’s anything at all but until Green Bay strings together a decade of mediocrity like some of the teams that “passed on so and so” – I’ll continue to believe they know what they’re doing.

Benson didn’t get the greatest blocking in Cincinnati and the passing game wasn’t scary enough to draw guys out of the box yet he still got 1k yards.
And he barely said squat about sharing carries. That was blown way out of proportion.
