While I wish this was true, it most certainly is not. The eagles actually tied for 1st in the NFL with 50 sacks. The Giants were tied for 3rd in the league with 48 sacks. The Cowboys were tied for 7th in the NFL with 43 sacks. And finally, the Skins finished tied for 10th in the NFL with 41 sacks.

All pretty impressive numbers, especially when you consider all four of the NFC East teams’ pass rushing was top 10 in the entire league. But anyway you slice it, the Skins were 4th in sacks within the NFC East.

Kerrigan is no longer a rookie, JJ is back and orakpo is only getting better and better every year since he came into the league. Not to mention just everybody actually having a full off-season to work together. If you don’t think that is going to be the nastiest front 7 in football. HTTR

People can continue to dismiss the Redskins, and based on the past 20 years they probably should. But, since they do not follow the team as closely as fans they will be most surprised this season when the Skins take several giant leaps forward. Can’t wait.
