Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate a good sense of humor and all but watching Hard Knocks last week IMO, Johnson was at least portrayed as a distraction with him showing up at the coaches meeting uninvited and all. It also seem as if Philbin was growing tired of his antics.

I don’t always agree with Stephen A. Smith, but he said something important today. He said one of the reasons Chad had this coming is because of who he chose to marry.

I think it was on the Herd this morning that I also heard a woman running down the violence record of Evelyn Lozada (Mrs. Chad Johnson). This woman (never caught her name) thinks that this was all a set up by Evelyn as she already is a star of a reality show called Basketball Wives. While Chad has no history of violence Evelyn has become violent in front of rolling cameras many times.

She also pointed out that the 3″ cut on Evelyn’s head is the same length as the average heel on a woman’s shoe. She posits that Evelyn argued with him over the receipt (although she’s stated publicly that she knows he fools around), head butted him, ran from the car and then inflicted the injury on herself before she reached the “neighbor’s house”.

That would sound extremely far fetched if it wasn’t so in line with what a piece of you know what she’s shown herself to be in the last 4 seasons of Basketball Wives.

I still don’t blame the Dolphins for dumping him. He obviously doesn’t get it. I thought maybe he would have been humbled by last season, but he’s come out running his mouth worse than ever. Like often happens though, it looks like he got away with many things only to be brought down by the company that he kept.

Chad Johnson was irrelevant last year. The Dolphins gave him a chance to win a roster spot and he blew it sky high. This guy makes more headlines for what he says and does off the field than on it.

Honestly, I can’t help but wonder if this just wasn’t a ploy to get his name back in the papers. He can’t make a roster, and he can’t get himself a TV show again. At least his name is back in the headlines now.

broncostevenp….. not a good example as it was proven in a court of law that the “woman” accusing Chumura of violating her was proven, and admitted to, lying about the entire situation for financial gain. Chumura was found not guilty but he lost his job anyway. The Packers organization, much like the Dolphins in this case, did not want the negative press and distractions.

As a “Team leader” he’s in a tough position. You have to back the HC, but back the guys too.

I find it hard to believe that everyone doesn’t understand that CJ was walking a thin, thin wire, and why he was walking said wire.

Another perfect example of a pampered and enabled pro football player being blissfully unaware of the rules that pertain to “The REAL WORLD.” In that world of work Karlos, employers do not expect employees, especially NEW ones to initiate their tenure with the company by holding profanity-laced discussions/conferences in public, after which he/she head back home to assault his/her spouse. In the REAL WORLD, Mr. Dansby, the employer deals with an employee the way The Dolphins did with their FORMER employee. By the way, they will do the same to YOU, should you behave likewise. As a matter of fact, The Fins might be sending a message to ANYONE on the team who might be wondering if the world of logical consequences will be in effect this year.

Who cares what Karlos thinks. He’s overpaid & started the season out of shape last year. He reminds me of an old Joey Porter, all talk & no game.
The problem with this team is the GM, he has no communication skills & constantly makes moves that players don’t like. That’s why we can never get quality free agents to come here. An even bigger problem is his poor drafting record.

I think they just use this situation to get rid of him, not classy. IMO, CJ has never done anything to hurt anyone before this incident. The only thing he’s guilty of throughout his nfl career is craving attention, he’s by far not the only player looking for some type of attention. Tebow gets attention without even trying, why would they give him a one strike clause when CJ never been arrested before. If anything, Marshall was more of a head case, they should have at least waited until further investigation was done before taking actions less than 24 hours of his arrest. Dumervil was arrested also on a more serious crime but the broncos let the investigation take its course and it concluded that he done nothing wrong, no punishment from the organization or league.

It’ll be interesting to see how many NFL players are called in to visit with the head coach today re: their comments on domestic violence.

That’s what happens when you envolve yourself with a chic who ain’t about sh;t,,,she’s with an NFL player but on reality show called basketball wives so that should let you know what type of broad she is. I hate these basketball wives, real housewives and all of these other reality show chics,, they’re counterproductive to society and do nothing but destroy these guys career. That being said,,, shame on these guys for constantly marrying these funky broads when you knew they were bad news from the jump.

Three of four Lions arrested were for DUI/Weed, other was dismissed immediately for a firearm issue. Until further notice Dolphins and Lions are not to be used in the same sentence.

Below is a text from the police report via the Sun-Sentinal. I’m sure if Chad head butted Karlos’ sister, he would have a different opinion.

The report continues: “While taking out the groceries, (Evelyn) located a Wall-Greens receipt in the vehicle’s trunk with a charge for a box of condoms. The two then sat inside their Black Smart Car that was parked directly in front of their house. They began talking about their sales receipt and their marriage. As they were talking Johnson became upset and without (Evelyn’s) permission grabbed her and head butted her on the forehead causing a laceration.

“Johnson began screaming and (Evelyn) attempting to calm Johnson (sic) down. He began screaming, “I don’t give a f—! I don’t give a f— about my career.” (Evelyn) then fled on a neighbor’s house to get away from Johnson. Evelyn then fled to a neighbor’s house to get away from Johnson. Johnson began driving the neighborhood looking for (Evelyn).”

Strike 1: Stupid press conference where he dropped F-bombs and acted a fool, requiring a talking-to from the head coach.

Strike 2: Dropping an easy catch on 3rd down that would’ve extended the drive. (i.e., not doing the exact thing you were hired to do)

Strike 3: Arrested and jailed.

All 3 within 2 weeks of start of season. Buh-bye!

More interesting about Hard Knocks Episode 1 is the kid who got cut after the first practice signed with the Patriots and is still with the team. It will be a struggle for him to make the practice squad. But the kid has a shot.
