In watching hard knocks its clear chad isnt playing well and the deal with his wife made it easier to cut him. braylon edwards is still young and more importantly has been playing well.last year was bad one for him being injured but he maymake the roster. T.O. has always produced on the field and so if he can be a pro in the locker room he canmake the cut too. if you dont follow the hawks its real simple. our secondary was killing our wide outs in practice. KILLING THEM!!!!! thats way they brought in edwards and T.O.

Chad Johnson shouldn't be mentioned in the same convo with T.O. Chad never had nearly the talent of T.O Johnson hardly ever created any separation from dbs. He put up some numbers at times bc Palmer would force the ball to him bc he d constantly be yelling hes open and bringing the qb aside telling him he was open. So the qbs would force the ball to him. I would likd to see the comparison of the avg completion % to ocho against avg reciever. He prob gets 50 passes thrown to him for every 10 receptions. I hope he gets another chance but the next time he gets sent packing is going to hurt more when they say its bc hes not good enough to make the team. Bottom line if he played anything like he says he does the Dolphins wouldn't be dropping him for the incident.

“He was great now he’s washed up get over it people.”

He never really was great even. Very good sure but never great. He looked dumb with his custom made gold hall of fame coat and he’s the only one that thought he had a chance to make it there. He’s been done for almost 4 yrs. now.

------------------------------------------

Never great?... he just led the AFC 4 times in a row (something no one else has ever done) in a time when people like Marvin Harrison, Andre Johnson, and Derrick Mason were all also in the AFC.

Hate on the guy all you want now, he's old and is no where near as good as he use to be... But he was one of the best WRs of the past decade without a doubt.

One of the all time greats? Well he's not HOF worthy, but he was most definitely one of the greats of his era.

fans tend to get caught up in names too much, coaches and football people look at what you can do on the field, T.O. and Braylon can flat out ball, but Chad has declined below NFL standards.

Don't forget Kellen"the motorcycle crashing soldier" Winslow. I believe he is 2nd string, so Pete gets somewhat of a pass on that. Honestly though, if the Hawks get good qb play and the rest of the team plays up to its potential, they will be a force. He never really was great even. Very good sure but never great. He looked dumb with his custom made gold hall of fame coat and he's the only one that thought he had a chance to make it there. He's been done for almost 4 yrs. now.

If Chad Johnson would refocus on football versus all the extra stuff, the reality tv shows, the attention, the propaganda, he would have a job right now in the NFL. He needs to get hungry, humble and focused on being the best football player he can be. Everything needs to be stripped away from him for him to get it, the NFL, the fame and attention and such. I think it sucks his marriage failed, publicity stunt or not.

Maybe Chad should put on his yellow HOF jacket IF he beats the court case for battery and go team to team asking for a job.... Tell them about his crazy end zone skits he did 6 years ago when he actually could catch A td in the NFL. At least T.O. actually backed up his big mouth.

Funny thing is his ex may even be worse. the newlywed who was worrying about affecting her Brand when marrying OCHO STINKO! ur 15 minutes is over with a headbutt please go away.

His play has fallen off fast but what's fallen off faster is everyone's acceptance of his antics. His days as a decent to elite NFL WR were over long before this but he did not get that memo. It got old when he was decent (albeit funny at times) but now that he's washed u,p it's tired, played out and ridiculous.

These NFL diva's will never get the point to just shut your mouth, keep your nose clean and play the game you are PAID to play! That and/or they are just too ignorant/arrogant to watch and learn from what is happening to other diva's that are struggling to find work.

Don't you guys worry, you know some crappy Sports show will snatch this guy up and we'll be subjected to listening to how great he thinks he was.

Actually even if somehow we wanted Chad Johnson, he would be a terrible fit for the Seahawks. He is a phenomenal athlete who frequently doesn't know the play or the route. Past teammates have said they had to tell him where to line up. That "might" work if you had an experienced quarterback and he was surrounded by other receivers who were very experienced. We have a brand new starting QB (Flynn or Wilson) and a receiving corps that is a mixed bag on years of experience. Not a good fit.
