Go for Demps! The Bucs have a need for speed and Al Davis has always maitained that speed can’t be coached. Demps would create matchup problems every week and stretch the field. Go Bucs.

In this case Demps was a Senior and already eligible for the 2012 draft. He would have been at the NFL combine if it wasn’t for the Olympics. It’s possible a NFL team offered him a Free Agent contract as soon as the draft ended.

I think Demps handled this situation in a classy way.

You have to be three years removed from high school to be NFL eligible.

I had assumed some GM would have used a round 7 pick during the draft to secure his rights. I would have used a late round 6 pick if I;d been in their shoes.

Vikings- he was eligible to be drafted but wasn’t on account of him focusing on track, now he’s a UFA.

What stops a college player from saying he doesn’t want to play football and sits out the draft and then decides too in August to become a free agent?
