DeMarcus Ware won’t play against Chargers

Add another name to the list of injured Cowboys.

Linebacker DeMarcus Ware won’t be in the lineup when the Cowboys travel to San Diego for a Saturday night game against the Chargers. Calvin Watkins of reports that Ware hurt his hamstring in practice on Thursday and the team has decided to hold him out of the contest as a result.

The good news is that Ware said that the injury isn’t serious, but the bad news is that the Cowboys can ill afford more injuries of any severity. Ware is the 20th player to be ruled out of the game against the Chargers, including fellow starting outside linebacker Anthony Spencer. Spencer also has a hamstring injury, as do guard Nate Livings, wide receiver Miles Austin and at least four other members of the team.

Watkins reports that Alex Albright took Ware’s place in practice on Thursday. Albright played in all 16 games for the Cowboys after making the team as an undrafted free agent last season, but saw most of his time on special teams.

Well, that’s bad news for the sidelines. That man loves to overindulge in garlic and jalepeno chili when he knows he aint playin. Whoever is on the sidelines with him will surely be “blown away”. peee–uuuu!

Sucks, but he doesn’t need the reps. Get the younger guys more time and with the 1st team.

what the hell kind of conditioning program do they run in Dallas?

As a long time cowboys fan, the level of fitness in this years team is seriously concerning me

Oh stop it. the only significant injuries are ware Livingston witten and Austin and three of them don’t really need the reps and all four will be ready to go by game one. The conditioning has nothing to do with pulled hamstrings.

Someone needs to whip these boys into shape

The Cowboys brought in Mike Woicik to handle strength and conditioning last season. He worked for the Cowboys in the 90’s before heading to New England for many years. Personally, I think many of these guys are looking for a night off.

Even with a busted hamstring, this guy is going to destroy my Redskins. Sadly, Ware is going to eat up my ‘Skins O-Line like RGIII eats Subway sandwiches brother!

best player , hands down, on a lousy team. i would not risk exposing him to injury either. on the other hand , would it be too obvious if , as coach, i left tony the turnover in for every pre-season snap?!?!?!

Any person who questions DeMarcus Ware and his conditioning might as well be critiquing tennis. You can’t fix stupid.
