Greg Jennings possibly will return to practice Sunday

bilde

Nearly two weeks after suffering a concussion during the team’s annual Family Night scrimmage, Packers receiver Greg Jennings is getting closer to a return to action.

Coach Mike McCarthy said Friday that Jennings has “advanced through the protocol process,” according to ESPNWisconsin.com. McCarthy said Jennings may practice on Sunday.

McCarthy also said the team will take a wait-and-see approach regarding Jennings’ availability for the next preseason game, on Thursday against the Bengals, in Cincinnati.

The Packers need their No. 1 receiver to be healthy, and any hit to the head he takes going forward will surely cause Packers fans to hold their breath. And, if in mixed company at the time, hopefully other bodily functions.
