Making his return to Arizona on Friday night, Raiders quarterback Matt Leinart had injury added to insult.
Booed when he entered the fray, Leinart eventually left on a cart with a cut on his right index finger. (Leinart throws with his left hand.)
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, X-rays were negative and Leinart received stitches to close the wound.
The source says Leinart is expected to available for Week One against the Chargers. Which is good news because Terrelle Pryor continues to look rough in the preseason.
Leinart completed five of eight passes for 66 yards. Nearly a third of the total (26 yards) came on an underthrown wobbler that rookie Juron Criner made a smooth adjustment to catch.
Pryor completed two of three passes in three drives that yielded not a single first down.
