I wonder if the media in Seattle have the courage to remind Pete Carroll said about TJoke when he signed and baptized him the starter all in the same day……after saying the “vikings were jerking Tavaris around and didn’t know how to use him”…….apparently Petey doesn’t either. Must be nice to throw Paul Allen’s money around like that.

Even with restructuring, Jackson as a backup somewhere will make more $$ sitting on a bench for 16 Sundays than most of us will see in a lifetime. Amazing. More power to him.

If they gave Alex Smith all those years in SF until he turned it around then there should be a spot for Tarvaris Jackson somewhere. He has yet to get a fair shot in the NFL except for his rookie season. But he should look at the career path of Rich Gannon, Jim Plunkett or even more recently Kurt Warner & Ryan Fitzpatrick as guys who didn’t get a fair shot and were pretty much a journeymen until they found that one coach who believed. I’d say Tavaris is better than Mark Sanchez & Matt Cassell, Both Arizona Qb’s, and a better #2 option than over half of the back ups in the league.

If he ain’t better than what they have in AZ, why would ANYONE trade for him? Heck why would anyone sign him except as a desparation 3rd string run out the season QB?

He is no starter, but he is not terrible..If the Bears had him last year, for example, instead of Caleb bleeping Hanie, they’d have made the playoffs. He’s a fairly competent professional. Someone will pick him up as a number two.

Tjack is better than kolb and skelton. He was 7-7 last year with no OTA’s and his first year here. He had his been year ever as a pro and he’s a tough guy with a rocket arm. i wish him well , i hope he doesnt go to AZ though because fritz would light it up with him and they could be very dangerous in the division. hope he goes to the jags or fins wbere he could start.

Tavaris Jackson needs to work with one of the top Quarterback coaches in the league. Until he gets a little overhaul on his mechanics, he will stay as a back-up. Jackson can run the plays that he is asked to, he just needs the confidence installed back into himself. TJ is great on his feet, has a strong arm and is a smart kid. It is his first couple of years in the league that messed him up, he was never really trusted, which killed him.

Kevin Kolb has a W-L record of 6-10, has 20 career TD’s to 22 career INTs, he has never broken 2000 passing yards in a season, and has a career 76.7 QB rating.

T-Jack, on the other hand has a W-L record of 17-17 so he’s a .500 QB. He’s thrown for over 3000 yards (with a torn pectoral) Has thrown 38 TD passes compared to 35 picks.. so the INT/TD ratio is in his favor, and finally he has a slightly higher QB rating (77.7)

So it may be hard to argue that T-Jack isn’t better than Kolb.. that is until you look at and understand the numbers.

Instead of using speculation, just state that he will be released and a few teams might show interest.

Poor T-Jack. There has to be a home somewhere for him as a backup QB in the NFL. Maybe the Cardinals should trade for him as their QB situation looks pretty miserable.
