Why would anybody put 8 in the box against Benson? He only average 2.7 yards per carry… Thats why the Bengales fired him. an now hes in Greenbay Until he go to JAIL in Wisconsin

My, my, my……how little you haters know about the game, and the greatness of TT. He has been very good at finding guys…..others don’t want….and can contribute big-time. CedBen is going to have ALL KINDS of opportunities to run the ball this year…..he will NEVER face eight men in the box. He will easily run for 1000 yards, and the Pack will have the goal-line option they have been missing.

I was convinced the Green and Gold would go 14-2…….but with the addition of CedBen….it’s gotta be at least 15-1……at least.

Book it.

Right, because the Vikings, Jaguars, Titans, and Ravens have lost track of how many Super Bowl rings they have won in the last few years with their top-tier running backs. Meanwhile, the Giants, Packers, Saints, Steelers, and Patriots have all struggled mightily with their scrap heap half backs and running-back-by-committee set-ups.

How can a team that won the SB 2 years ago, with a regular season record of 15-1 last year be overrated? With basically the same lineup and a strengthed defense?

In the NFL, every year, just like the players, get better or they get worse. No one stays the same, it’s simply not possible.

The Packers have gotten by with no real running game for the last 3-4 years and it can’t go on forever. That sort of thing catches up with you.

The Packers had one of the worst passing defenses in the league last year and they were exposed with their pants down in the play-offs.

It’s a new season and the real difference in the Packer offense is what’s missing, not what’s been added. I’ll believe this passing offense continues without a hitch when I see it. I believe Philbin had a lot to do with that success and it remains to be seen how they handle the coaching change.

I’m sure the Bears are happy to see Cedric starting in Green Bay, they’re all too familiar with his weaknesses……

Our running game can’t get any worse than the Brandon Jackson 2 yards per carry games from 2010… won a superbowl that year, we just need the running game to pick up short yardage 1st downs and to average around 4 yards a pop….

Look at thier schedule this year. It’s not te cakewalk they faced last year. And the year they won the super bowl, Favre to Schiancoe was clearly a touchdown and the refs miffed it, packers go 9-7 and the giants go to the playoffs. With the sick defenses the packers have to play this year, and no defense of their own, it’s not going to be as easy for you guys to put on your skirts and wave your green and yellow Pom Poms as before. Plus when Aaron Rogers gets concussed the packers will be lucky to win a game. Worst defense on the league and no running game. They can’t beat up on the hapless AFc west this year neither

The last thing Rodgers, Pack fans or anyone has to worry about is the Packer offense. The defense may be a bit of a different story, but not the offense.

An honest assessment of the Green Bay Packers has to include two facts:

1) They have the best passing attack in the league, due to having the best QB in the league and perhaps the best receiving corps.

2) Everything else is mediocre or worse.

That the Packers are the #1 ranked team says more about the importance of the passing game and the rule changes in more recent years that favor it.

I think back to the San Diego Chargers in the Dan Fouts/Air Coryell days. They had perhaps the best passing attack in the league in those days too, but weren’t much more than a top 10 team at best.

It’s not good for the NFL that passing is all that matters.

Why is he saying this now? Good luck running behind that overrated offensive line. Rodgers will be running for his life this season. He may be super human on the field, but he is not immortal, and he hasn’t looked that impressive this year (the Giants playoff loss + the 2 pre-season games).

Not trying to hate on Rodgers but I feel that teams will catch up with the Packers this year.

With a great running game, big plays in the passing game become much easier. If Benson pans out, or if they somehow make the RB by committee plan work more effectively, defenses that respect that threat are more likely to be burned by the big pass.
