I thought Heyer had some decent games last year. That’s probably the reason I don’t coach in the NFL.

Give Rex Ryan credit for giving Jets fans hope and selling season tickets.

He’s been consistently mediocre. If not for the Colts trying to lose their last game his first season the Jets would have been 8-8 just like last year. They had one decent season but every other season has been mediocre at best.

And yet he’s fooled Jets fans each year into buying into his Super Bowl guarantees.

Though in all fairness it can’t be tough to fool Jets fans.

Doubt it. After the games this weekend, bet he’s glad he has tebow behind him & not Stanton.

Stanton never had a chance @ Detroit to be anything but a scape goat. While the Colts certainly won’t be changing their franchise QB, if Stanton is able to play a few games well as a backup he can translate that into competing for a starting QB position next year elsewhere. Cards?

Heyer may have been listed on the official depth chart as second string (though I’m not even sure if that’s true), but he was not in there with the second unit in either preseason game and was consistently with the third unit in practices until Hunter and Landolt got hurt. He was never going to make the team, but the timing of the move is interesting as it may relate to another move.

The Jets are just a mess.

They have a LB playing RB/FB, a FB (arguably) playing QB, a CB playing WR, (a fragile diva as their #1 WR) and now they dump a piece of crucial OL depth – albeit he probably blows.

It’s really a reflection on the coaching staff and front office and just how out-of-sorts they really are.

Heyer contributed some solid Guard play for the Raiders last year. Maybe there’s a spot for him in a new position, but T doesn’t seem to be his role.

Why would Sanchez want the team to cut Tebow? He’s the one QB who might make Sanchez look good.

Tebow’s favorite WR appears to be the ground.

I shiver to think that this guy was once a starter on the Redskins and was thought to be a prospect. Thank goodness we have real football people in charge in DC again. Oh hell yeah.
